Intervista con Taulant Hoxha

 

 

Nato nel 1991, Taulant Hoxha è un artista europeo emergente. Originario dell'Albania, nel 1996 all'età di 5 anni, Hoxha e i suoi genitori emigrarono in Italia. Come molti altri in quel periodo, la sua famiglia dovette entrare illegalmente in Italia con un motoscafo.

Avanti veloce fino agli anni 2020 e Taulant Hoxha entra nel mondo dello streaming di Spotify, con il suo primo singolo, "Il tempo passa", pubblicato a marzo 2021. Firmando con The Palma Music nel 2023, Hoxha ha pubblicato 2 singoli con l'etichetta- " Pozitivitet" a giugno, e il suo più recente, "I want you baby", uscito il 1 settembre.

 

Born in 1991, Taulant Hoxha is an emerging European artist. Originally from Albania, in 1996 at the age of 5, Hoxha and his parents emigrated to Italy. Like many others during that time, his family had to enter Italy illegally by motorboat.

Fast forward to the 2020's and Taulant Hoxha enters the streaming world of Spotify, with his first single, "Il tempo passa," released in March, 2021. Signing with The Palma Music in 2023, Hoxha has published 2 singles with the label- "Pozitivitet" in June, and his most recent, "I want you baby," released on September 1.

 

Cosa ti ha ispirato a diventare un musicista?

What inspired you to become a musician?

 

Per me fare il musicista vuol dire comunicare con le persone e condividere con loro i miei pensieri, mi aiuta ad esprimere il mio stato d’animo e a sfogarmi.

 

For me, being a musician means communicating with people and sharing my thoughts with them, it helps me express my mood and let off steam.

 

Quanti anni avevi quando hai iniziato a suonare?

How old were you when you started playing (music)?

 

Ho iniziato a suonare il pianoforte a 6 anni studiando la musica classica poi crescendo sopratutto il periodo tra le scuole medie e superiori ho ascoltato quasi esclusivamente rock’n’roll e hip hop infatti mi definisco un musicista a 360 gradi.

 

I started playing the piano at 6 years old, studying classical music, then growing up, especially during the period between middle and high school, I listened almost exclusively to rock'n'roll and hip hop, in fact I define myself as an all-round musician.

Come descriveresti la tua musica?

How would you describe your music?

 

Descriverei la mia musica emozionante e vera perché mi piace parlare di problemi sociali e di esperienze vissute.

 

I would describe my music as emotional and true because I like to talk about social problems and lived experiences.

 

Dove ti sei esibito? Hai dei prossimi concerti?

Where have you performed? Do you have any upcoming shows?

 

Ho fatto dei concerti come pianista in vari teatri in giro per la Toscana con l’orchestra della mia scuola fino ai 18 anni, invece come cantautore sto facendo qualche concerto nei locali del mio paese.

 

I gave concerts as a pianist in various theaters around Tuscany with the orchestra of my school until I was 18, however as a singer-songwriter I am doing some concerts in clubs in my town.

 

Dov'è il luogo del tuo concerto ideale?

Where would your ideal concert be?

 

In uno stadio.

Qual è la tua canzone preferita da esibire?

What is your favorite song to perform?

 

Penso che la mia canzone più emozionante sia IL TEMPO PASSA perché è una canzone dove tutti co rispecchiamo perché dentro di essa c’è racchiusa, nostalgia, rimorso, e tanta voglia di riscatto.

I think my most emotional song is IL TEMPO PASSA because it is a song in which we all reflect because inside it there is nostalgia, remorse, and a great desire for redemption.

 

Quali musicisti celebri ammiri?

Which famous musicians do you admire?

Tra gli artisti che ho ascoltato di più nell’età adolescenziale ci sono sicuramente i Pink Floyd, Queen, Led Zeppelin, Nirvana, Red Hot Chili Peppers.

 

Among the artists I listened to most as a teenager there were certainly Pink Floyd, Queen, Led Zeppelin, Nirvana, Red Hot Chili Peppers.

Qual è il miglior consiglio che ti è stato dato?

What is the best advice you’ve been given?

 

Di non arrendermi mai perché per raggiungere il traguardo in qualcosa che si ama bisogna lottare e avere pazienza.

To never give up because to reach the finish line in something you love you have to fight and have patience.

 

Se potessi cambiare qualcosa nel settore della musica, quale sarebbe?

If you could change something about the Music Industry, what would it be?

 

Penso che ultimamente nel mondo della musica stanno dando poca importanza alla musica e soprattutto si da poco valore alla persona e ai valori che uno ha, ma si cerca sempre di più di trovare dei cosiddetti personaggi sempre più stravaganti a tal punto che ormai per essere trasgressivi basta essere “normali”.

I think that lately in the world of music they are giving little importance to music and above all they give little value to the person and the values ​​that one has, but they are increasingly trying to find so-called characters who are increasingly extravagant to the point that now in order to be transgressive just be "normal."

Vorrei riuscire a pubblicare il mio primo album visto che fino adesso ho pubblicato sempre dei singoli.
